Returning from walk around Barceloneta through St. James square (Plaça Sant Jaume), I looked in the Palace of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Palacio de la Generalidad, map), built in 1596 by the architect Pere Blau. Interior areas are available to the public.
Attract the attention of a well-executed medieval ceilings, precious wood,
ceramics
stained glass
patio framed by Gothic arches.
Here you can see several sculptures, in particular, "the Three Gypsy" Juan Rebula (Tres gitanillos, de Joan Rebull, 1946).
In the hall of St. George houses a few interesting exhibits, including the car used by the government in the early 20th century.
Room is also used for temporary exhibitions. On new year's eve here was presented collection of ceramic miniatures, which is also dominated by biblical themes.
